Yaw Siki Says Tema Rappers Are More United

Yaw Siki a Tema Based Rapper voice began as a soft low innocent voice that has now grown into a distinct and undeniable voice. His songs are often lyrically intelligent, rather than the rash and boastful ones we hear.
Yaw Siki can be best described as a deep thinker with a wild imagination, a quick wit and a sharp tongue.

The young man of humble beginnings also doubles as a journalist born in Tema. So far, Yaw Siki is able to deal with pressure from fame and is grateful to his management team too. Even though he was based in Tema, he came all the way down to Accra, battling rappers that put him in touch with countless music managers, label owners and other industry heavyweights after his performances.

Yaw Siki is poised to officially enter the game as the industry's next big thing. Ghanaian music fans should prepare a space on their wall for hiplife/hiphop's new poster child. Far from an overnight success, Yaw Siki preparing himself to be in the game for a time.

“We are looking forward to the end of this year, if things go as planned it will be released nationwide. I can promise my fans a unique style, good beats, quality music and something everybody can relate to. Before I forget the title will be “High Technique”, he said about his album release.

Do you think there’s a difference between Tema and Accra swagger? “Not really, the only difference I feel is that Tema artistes are more united. At the end of the day there is no Greater Accra without the other”, he said.

Yaw Siki too had to experience the hardships of the music industry through setbacks in his early career. He began releasing mixtape songs like ‘Luk Sharp’, ‘Mi Lobi’ and “Don’t give up” which were inspirational to him and developed a fan base on the internet. And now Yaw Siki is wisely accepted and his career is slowly coming in full swing.

In 2011, Yaw Siki really started to make an impact on the Ghanaian music industry with his “Wop3 Dodo” song and is not looking back.
